A Yorkshire man and proud of it. Born and educated in the Yorkshire Dales. Joined the Royal Air Force as a Technical Apprentice at the age of sixteen. Hungry for travel, he volunteered for Overseas Service and worked in Singapore and Hong Kong, and spent a year in the Maldives Islands as a Radio Announcer and Programme Producer. Wanting to broaden his travel horizons, he left the RAF and went to work for British Airways ‘Long Haul Division’ (known then as B.O.A.C.).
During the years working for BA he travelled extensively in the Middle East, Asia, Far East, Australasia, Caribbean and North America.
As a former member of ‘Round Table’ and ‘Rotary International’ that brought many opportunities to share his travel experiences. Falling in love with cruising some years ago, and now retired from business, he now enjoys sharing his experiences with you.
